Allow yourself to be fully seen

I want to talk about doing what you’re meant to be doing in life.

I’m talking about anyone who feels they have a calling in life - not to necessarily save the world or create a billion dollar company - I’m talking about anyone who has something that pulls at them.

I’m talking about me having a passion for podcasting, writing and music. I’m talking about a friend who has a passion for charcuterie boards, for the stock market, for photography, for comedy, for music, for painting, for surfing, for pumpkin patches or farmers markets!

I’m talking about anything that speaks to you in a way your 9-5 never can.

I want to you to say: "I am not afraid to be seen."

The mindset I’m describing here helps keep you focused on what actually matters amidst fear of being judged. What actually matters is grounding yourself in affirming that trying is cool.

I know it’s cheesy but it’s cool to try - and anyone who clowns on someone who tries is a loser!

Anyone who makes fun of, judges, or shames someone who’s trying… they’re a loser.

I said it!

How are you going to make fun of someone who is trying, who is trying something new, or who is doing something personal and compassionate?

If you agree with this sentiment, then ask yourself: what’s stopping you from stepping out and being seen?

When you step you, you're faced with two outcomes - you step out and you're fully seen and it’s great and people dig it. OR you step out and someone clowns on you… but you recognize that's firmly a reflection of them being an absolute loser.

When that’s the case, what’s to stop you? I’m sure you’d agree that trying is cool. As long as you’re not hurting anyone or being hurtful with the thing you’re doing or saying, I can’t picture a world where our morals and humanity don't support the notion that trying is cool. If you allow yourself to be fully seen and they throw it back in your face… that is on them.

When you allow yourself to be seen fully, when YOU judge the people who judge you instead of yourself, you become rooted in prioritizing how your life feels instead of how it looks.

That is life changing.

Allow yourself to be fully seen.

Be fully seen. Create, start new, share, do whatever it is that pulls at you.

Life feels amazing when you hold nothing back. Life feels amazing when you create from a place that is personal to you.

Especially in an era where that is rewarded! There is a place for everyone. There is an audience for everyone.

There is interest in literally anything you create that is personal and of course persistent, practiced and refined.

I truly believe that and it all starts with this mindset.

Allow yourself to be fully seen because anyone who judges that… they deserve the judgment.

Allow yourself to be fully seen because when you do… you start prioritizing how your life feels instead of how it looks.
